Job Description
Elderly care assistant is a support profession in elderly care. The work involves providing care and rehabilitation to elderly individuals and assisting them in maintaining their independence under the guidance of a qualified professional. It is a highly communicative profession requiring close contact with elderly people. The training concludes with a state-recognized qualification, which also serves as an entry requirement for training as a qualified elderly care nurse. Due in no small part to demographic changes, the profession of elderly care assistant offers a promising future. For individuals whose native language is not German but who have achieved a language level of at least B1, or for those requiring part-time training, we offer a part-time training course with language and/or personal support in cooperation with the Institute for German Language and the Offenburg Municipal Employment Agency.
