Training Content
- Collection of all necessary information for the care of the residents (current situation)
- Determining the specific support needs of the resident through the creation of the overall plan and coordination with the support center or workshop for disabled people.
- Implementation of the goals described in the rehabilitation or support plan through activation and mobilization of the residents
- Adherence to, or maintenance of, a daily routine for the residents and implementation of leisure activities
- Regular updates to the overall plan, including coordination with all persons involved in the rehabilitation process.
- Regular review and evaluation of rehabilitation success
- Instructions and assistance for personal hygiene and care
- Distribution of medication and monitoring of intake
- Promoting contacts and mutual assistance among residents
- Documentation of all observed measures

This quality is not only commendable, but also a fantastic prerequisite for training as a special education teacher. In this job, you care for people with intellectual or physical disabilities. You support them, assist them in managing their daily lives, and help them engage in leisure activities tailored to their needs. As a special education teacher, you always keep the well-being of the person entrusted to your care in mind, remain patient even in challenging situations, and don't shy away from close physical tasks such as assisting with eating, showering, or dressing. In addition to working directly with people, administrative tasks also arise. For example, you organize outings or events or write individual support plans.
