Job Description

Job Description: Structural Mechanic Have you ever wondered how large bridges or halls are built? Are you fascinated by the possibilities of what's achievable with steel and sheet metal? Are you a bit of a visionary, in a good way? Then become a structural mechanic! In this profession, no construction is too big, too heavy, or too outlandish. As a master of sheet metal and steel, you'll create lasting works using modern machines and lasers, such as airport terminals, bridges, ship hulls, superstructures, and elevators. This includes the complete package, such as maintaining and repairing your structures, tools, and machines. As a structural mechanic, you'll work in (large) workshops and on customer construction sites. You can find employment in companies that manufacture machines, ships, vehicles, and rail vehicles, as well as in steel and metal construction. A truly versatile profession!
