However, because there are quite a few different goods, apprentices face the question of which specialization to choose right at the beginning of their training. If you choose, for example, plastics and rubber technology, you will first familiarize yourself with the materials and the machines required for production. Once you have an overview, you will begin production. As a process mechanic, you create formulas, set up machines, and operate them. If problems arise, it is up to you to fix them. You are also responsible for compliance with quality standards as well as for the maintenance and care of the machines. At Schlaeger, apprentices take on significant responsibility early on and are integrated into the production team. Under the guidance of specialists and managers, they have the opportunity to learn and solidify everything they need for their future careers at their own pace. As a process mechanic (m/f/d) during your apprenticeship, you'll be responsible for automated machines, systems, and injection molds in our 24-hour production environment: you'll be responsible for these tasks.
