Job Description

Do you have a passion for working with people? Are you also versatile and able to work in different areas? Then become a registered nurse! In this profession, you'll be a true all-rounder! As a registered nurse, you can work with people of all ages in geriatric care, general nursing, and pediatric nursing. Your tasks include providing care and support, such as assisting with personal hygiene or eating. You'll assist with examinations, administer medication, and prepare patients for surgery. Administrative and organizational tasks are also an important part of the job: planning, documenting, coordinating, admitting patients, managing medications, and many other duties ensure a varied and interesting workday. As a registered nurse, you can find work in hospitals, doctors' offices, nursing homes, hospices, facilities for people with disabilities, and in home care, depending on your interests and strengths. You'll attend the theoretical classes at the vocational school for nursing at the training center of the Erding District Hospital. The practical training takes place in inpatient acute care (hospital), inpatient long-term care (nursing home), outpatient care, as well as in psychiatric and care facilities for children and adolescents. During your practical placements, you will be supported in your learning by clinical instructors and teachers.

The Erding District Hospital is a municipal hospital providing advanced basic and standard care with 330 inpatient beds and 12 outpatient places in its pain management day clinic. It is wholly owned by the Erding District. In addition to its mission of providing healthcare to the region at its two locations in Erding and Dorfen, the Erding District Hospital is also of significant economic importance. With its attractive employment opportunities for over 1,000 people (including students), the hospital is the largest municipal employer in the district.
