Job Description

An administrative assistant essentially works in two main areas: people and numbers. The job opportunities are very diverse. At the city level, for example, they advise citizens on new identity cards or answer inquiries from companies regarding financing. They also organize employee personnel files and handle payroll. When it comes to numbers, they often deal with the city budget or a company's financial plan. Training providers can include government agencies and offices, as well as university administrations. The training is based on five main areas: local government, state and federal administrations, trade organizations, and church administrations. Regardless, the training is usually very similar. Anyone who enjoys numbers as much as people should consider an apprenticeship as an administrative assistant. Theoretical training modules take place at the Bavarian School of Public Administration and the Starnberg Vocational School. Practical training is conducted at the Starnberg District Office.
