Job Description
An administrative assistant essentially works with two main areas: people and numbers. The possible areas of employment are very broad. For example, at the city, you might advise citizens on their new ID cards or answer inquiries from companies regarding financing. You might also organize employees' personnel files or handle salaries. When it comes to numbers, this often involves the city's budget or a company's financial plan.
Training companies can be, for example, public authorities and offices, but also university administrations. The training is essentially based on five key areas: local government, state and federal administration, skilled trade organizations, and even church administration. Either way, the training usually follows a very similar pattern. If you enjoy numbers as much as people, you should consider training as an administrative assistant.
This is how your training will work:
The training begins on September 1st and lasts three years.
The training begins on September 1st and lasts three years. In addition to classes at the vocational school and the Bavarian School of Public Administration, you will gain practical experience in various departments (e.g., human resources, finance, social services, driver's license and vehicle registration) at the Munich District Office.
The training will cover topics including municipal law, general and specific administrative law, private law, and administrative business administration.
