DAILY MISSION
What does this apprenticeship involve?
The apprenticeship as a construction draftsman/draftswoman is diverse and varied. As a construction draftsman/draftswoman, you'll create detailed technical drawings on the computer, based on the specifications of our engineers, for the planning and execution of our highway projects. You'll work with CAD programs and perform calculations for road construction. Your work will primarily be at the computer, but site visits are also part of the job.

The Autobahn GmbH des Bundes (Federal Autobahn Company) was founded in September 2018 as part of the federal highway reform. The company is wholly owned by the German federal government and is headquartered in Berlin. Following the successful completion of its start-up phase, the Autobahn GmbH des Bundes assumed all responsibilities related to motorways in Germany on January 1, 2021 – including planning, construction, operation, maintenance, financing, and asset management.
