- Inspect building materials, construction supplies and prefabricated parts, and initiate complaints.

Then this profession is a perfect fit for you. At the Bavarian State Road Construction Administration, you'll work responsibly in qualified teams within the road maintenance service. With the help of a modern fleet of machinery and vehicles, you'll efficiently fulfill your tasks at our road maintenance depot. The apprenticeship lasts three years. In addition to the specialized training at the road maintenance depot, theoretical knowledge is taught at the vocational school in Würzburg. Practical courses at the inter-company training center in Gerolzhofen (Schweinfurt district) supplement the apprenticeship.

The Bayreuth State Construction Office is divided into two departments. The Structural Engineering Department is responsible for construction projects for the Free State of Bavaria, the Federal Republic of Germany, and other clients, such as churches, monasteries, and foundations. This encompasses nearly 1,000 buildings on over 350 properties in Planning Region 5 – Upper Franconia East. The Road Construction Department is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of federal and state highways, as well as the district roads of the Wunsiedel district in the Fichtel Mountains.
The Bayreuth State Construction Office thus manages a network of 360 km of federal highways, 718 km of state highways, and 114 km of district roads in the Wunsiedel district in the Fichtel Mountains, along with 260 km of pedestrian and bicycle paths. This includes 560 bridges and 207 other engineering structures such as retaining walls, noise barriers, and overhead sign gantries, not to mention 164 traffic signal systems.
The administrative district includes the independent cities of Bayreuth and Hof as well as the districts of Bayreuth, Hof, Kulmbach and Wunsiedel in the Fichtelgebirge (planning region Upper Franconia East).
