Job Description

Are you interested in administrative tasks? Do you love sitting at a desk all day and losing track of time? Then become a graduate in Public Administration (FH)! As a civil servant in the higher service, you'll be responsible for administration and case processing in public authorities and agencies. You'll also take on leadership roles, such as supervising your staff. Furthermore, you'll monitor compliance with regulations (for example, in the public order office), advise citizens (for example, in the social welfare office), and plan projects (for example, in the federal ministry). Analyzing figures and facts (for example, at the Federal Statistical Office) and making administrative decisions (for example, in the immigration office) are also part of your daily work. As a graduate in Public Administration (FH), you can find employment in the public sector in federal agencies (for example, in federal ministries or the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees), state agencies (for example, in state ministries), and local authorities (e.g., in town halls or the immigration office).
