Job Description
Is no building too tall for you? Do you crave a challenging and varied workday? Then study civil engineering in a dual program! During your studies and in your future career, you'll be challenged both theoretically and practically: creating project plans, calculating structural aspects, conceptually planning buildings, coordinating and managing construction sites, and much more will be part of your responsibilities. For every structure, whether it's the world's tallest skyscraper or the longest underground tunnel, planning must incorporate topics such as technical mathematics, building materials, environmental factors, statics, and functionality. What comes after a dual civil engineering degree? Your future workplace is as diverse as your tasks! You can plan and coordinate construction projects and transportation networks, or work in environmental protection, depending on your interests and strengths.
For every structure, whether it's the tallest skyscraper in the world or the longest underground tunnel, topics such as technical mathematics, building materials, environmental factors, statics, and functionality must be considered. What you can expect:
Content of the theoretical phases
Engineering fundamentals (mathematics, mechanics, structural design, etc.)
You will acquire comprehensive expertise in structural engineering, civil engineering, geotechnics, water management, and transportation.
Other topics include business administration, law, and construction project management.
Content of the practical phases
You will acquire basic practical skills.
You will learn about testing and measurement methods.
You will participate in construction projects and gain insights into areas such as cost estimation, construction supervision, and project management.
