- Before starting your studies, you must complete an 8-week preliminary internship. If you receive our offer for this study place, you are welcome to complete the technical preliminary internship at MTU in Munich between June and August.
Job Description
As an engineer specializing in production management, you will work in key manufacturing departments to ensure that MTU Aero Engines can compete in the international market amid increasing cost pressure while maintaining the highest quality standards. Upon completion of this program, you will have comprehensive knowledge of production engineering and production management, which you will also apply to the design of our products.
The creativity required daily, collaboration with interfaces such as product lines, IT, Technical Purchasing, or Finance and Controlling, and constant interaction within teams, round out this diverse job.

Learning manual and mechanical skills (including occupational safety) in the basic technical metalworking internship (takes place in November to December of the first practical placement)

Exciting manufacturing processes used at MTU (e.g., electrochemical machining, high-frequency pressure welding, laser form drilling, shot blasting, additive manufacturing)
Projects related to Industry 4.0
MTU production logistics
