Job Description
Bits and Bytes - Dual Studies in Business Informatics: Your dilemma: You love immersing yourself in the fascinating world of IT. But programming alone isn't for you. You want to be surrounded not only by bits and bytes, but also by people and work in a business context. A dual studies program in Business Informatics combines both. In this profession, you'll navigate between modern IT and business expertise. To outsiders, programming languages can seem like incomprehensible runes. Business informatics specialists can read them and, thanks to their business knowledge, apply them to practical situations. They are also responsible for IT security, as well as the implementation, expansion, and maintenance of software. If you discover during your practical phases that you enjoy working with clients, you can also work in sales or as a consultant after graduation.
Combine theory and practice at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Mannheim and earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems with a specialization in Application Management within three years.
