Job Description

Organizational talent with expertise – Apprenticeship as a Media and Information Services Specialist (Library) In your room, books aren't piled up haphazardly next to your bed, but neatly arranged on shelves. Among your friends, you're the expert on presentations, because no one finds information as quickly or presents it as clearly as you do. During your apprenticeship as a Media and Information Services Specialist (Library), no one will be left in the dark with you. In the library, you'll organize and manage books, newspapers, magazines, information, and data so clearly that every customer can find what they're looking for immediately. To keep the collection up-to-date, you'll place orders and record new acquisitions. As a Media and Information Services Specialist (Library), you won't be hiding behind bookshelves during your apprenticeship, but will be a point of contact for customers and will also assist with public relations. The practical training takes place at the University Library of the Bundeswehr University Munich (UniBw M). The Munich Municipal Vocational School for Media Professions provides the theoretical knowledge for all training libraries in Bavaria through block courses. Supplementary internships, including those abroad, complete the training.
