During your training as a geriatric nurse, you will care for and support elderly people in need of assistance. You will help them with their daily routines, advise them, motivate them to engage in meaningful activities, and perform nursing and medical tasks.

  • Instruction of family members in care techniques
  • Performance of therapeutic and medical-nursing tasks
  • Documentation of care services provided
  • Correctly assessing a patient's health condition and how to administer first aid
  • Indications for drugs
  • Planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of the nursing process
  • Support for elderly people in critical life situations and in the final phase of life
