Geomatics training

"Turn left here" – do you dream of being the planner behind navigation systems? Are you interested in technical and creative work? Then become a geomatics engineer! In this profession, you transform the real world into the digital world, resulting in online maps or three-dimensional representations. This makes you the expert behind the navigation devices that rely on your maps and graphics. Your other tasks include analyzing (potential) routes and areas for site planning for clients. This site planning is used, for example, to build bike paths or solar power plants. You also advise clients on the results and application of the analysis. You do all of this using state-of-the-art computer programs, so your workplace is primarily your office. As a geomatics engineer, you can find employment in geoinformation companies, surveying offices, and cartography publishers.
