Do you love planning trips and excursions? Is organizing and networking right up your alley? Then make something of your talent and become a tourism and leisure management assistant! In this profession, you'll be the tourism representative for the region you work in. Your tasks will include advising travelers on the region's cultural and tourist attractions, selling and brokering suitable leisure activities and tourist services (such as booking accommodations), and, of course, tourism public relations. This includes planning and organizing events, for example. You'll master these diverse tasks together with local network partners, with whom you'll build and maintain relationships. As a tourism and leisure management assistant, you'll work in tourist information centers, travel agencies, tour operators, and various organizations in the tourism and leisure sector.
