Are you interested in customers, numbers, and insurance? Then a career as a social insurance clerk is perfect for you. The tasks of a social insurance clerk include advising clients, including large companies, monitoring incoming payments, processing benefit applications (for example, for sick pay, dental prosthetics, rehabilitation), and other administrative duties. Acquiring new clients is also part of the job. The profession of social insurance clerk is divided into the specializations of health insurance, accident insurance and pension insurance, agricultural social insurance, and miners' social insurance. During your apprenticeship, you will learn one of these specializations. So, you'll never be bored! During and after your apprenticeship, you'll work at statutory insurance institutions, social insurance providers, or in hospitals in the patient billing department, depending on your specialization.
