In this profession, you are the technical designer of diverse products. You create 3D data models and technical documentation on the computer, implementing them according to your clients' wishes. The type of products depends on your specialization: In the field of mechanical and plant engineering, you design machines, systems, vehicles, and their components. With a focus on product design and construction, you design everyday objects and develop technical products. As a Technical Product Designer, you can find work with service providers in industry and engineering. Depending on your specialization and interests, you might work in the development departments of companies that manufacture machines, systems, vehicles, equipment, furniture, and aircraft, or you could work in medical technology or the consumer goods industry.
