They ensure that buildings or roads are only built where they belong. As a building materials tester, you take soil samples on site, analyze them in the laboratory, and then draw the right conclusions. But the work doesn't end there, because now you have to explain the results to the client, advise them for or against the project, and, if necessary, suggest alternatives. Since it's not just private individuals who build, municipalities, cities, and companies are also among your clients.
