Architectural Drafter: Did you love playing "The Sims" or other computer simulations as a child? Have you already drawn your dream house? Then become an architectural drafter! In this profession, you are the architect's "right hand," laying the foundation for houses, roads, bridges, and other structures. Using modern computer programs, you draw floor plans and building elevations of buildings and infrastructure according to the architect's specifications. You are also responsible for the subsequent stages of each construction project: In addition to your drawing skills, you should be good with numbers, as you perform calculations for the construction. In practice, you oversee the implementation of your drawings and calculations and always have all the necessary documentation at hand. As an architectural drafter, you work in architectural offices, engineering firms, building authorities, or large construction companies.
