Environmental technologist for circular economy and waste management

(m/f/d)

Job Description

Is recycling important to you? Do you have a good understanding of technology and are you physically fit? Then an apprenticeship as an environmental technologist specializing in recycling and waste management might be right for you. This profession revolves entirely around waste – and it's much more exciting than it sounds. You'll learn to identify valuable raw materials in waste and lay the foundation for their proper collection, processing, recycling, or disposal. The theoretical part of the apprenticeship as an environmental technologist specializing in recycling and waste management will provide you with essential knowledge. This includes legal requirements and environmental protection guidelines, waste classification and analysis, processing and recycling techniques, and sampling and conducting chemical tests. In the practical phase of your apprenticeship, you'll put this knowledge into practice and learn how to operate recycling machines and organize waste disposal. A variety of jobs await you, for example, at recycling centers or in public waste management.
